The Shakahola horror is something that most Kenyans won’t forget. The cult led by Pastor Mackenzie ,has led to death of hundreds of individuals. His followers were brainwashed and they used to do everything that the pastor used to tell them, he took that advantage and incited them to fast till death so that they can go to heaven directly.

Speaking in an interview with Citizen Tv, one former followers of Pastor Mackenzie, decided to let the cat out of the bag. He revealed that it all started when Mackenzie forced his followers to buy pieces of land at Shakahola. A good number of them bought, except those who were poor.

The Pastor went on and started to instruct his followers to fast till death , because that is the only way that they can go to heaven directly and meet Jesus.
The insider revealed that they used to bury several bodies on daily basis, to an extend that they were unable to dig graves for each one of them. That is why some graves had upto seven people.

He revealed that they used to celebrate death, and all the burial functions were led by Mackenzie, who told the followers who were still alive not to worry, because the death are resting in heaven with Jesus Christ.

He added that they were about 1500 followers, and out of that number, they managed to bury more than 100 bodies, and he decided to quit the ministry of Mackenzie due to his evil teachings and how he was misleading people.
