Sometimes life isn’t fair, and it is easy to fall from up to down as compared to climbing from down to up. Peter blessing is one of the most talented gospel musicians in Kenya. When Bahati brought him into the game and signed him under his record label EMB records, everyone knew that he will be a superstar, but now he is a security guard.

3 years ago, Peter blessing made his debut in music, he dropped a song known as “Nasubiri” , which was based on his true life story. He is from a humble background and he was going through alot that time.

Kevin Bahati who was then doing gospel music, decided to help Peter by signing him under EMB records. This was a life changing opportunity, Peter started gaining fame, and even some of his songs started going viral. Everything was fine and his future in music was very brighter.
However after a while things went left between him and Bahati. It was alleged that Peter had become rude and he had started hanging out with several ladies despite being a gospel musician. According to Bahati , that wasn’t a good image, the two tried talking but they were unable to come into understanding.

Peter blessing decided to make a fast decision , which wasn’t wise at that time. One of Bahati’s producers convinced him to quit EMB record label. He did so, on claims that Bahati was misusing him and he even threatened to sue him for not paying him his royalties.

There was a push and pull between the two, Bahati decided to reveal the truth, he availed the contract that Peter signed when joining his record label. He went on and sued him for breaching the contract, whereby Peter was expected to pay Bahati almost ksh.2 Million.
He was even barred from releasing music under his name, because the name belonged to Emb records. Later after Bahati closing down his record label, he decided to forgive Peter blessing and allowed him to do his things.

Since then things haven’t been easy for Peter, he has tried to do several collaboration with big gospel Musicians, including Mr Seed, Benachi and even Size 8, but it hasn’t given him the fame he needed.
In addition to this Kenyan gospel music is on its knees and the musician aren’t making money from the niche. There are fewer gospel shows in the country.
In order to sustain his lifestyle, Peter blessings decided to go back to square one, where it all started. He went back to his security guard job, and currently he is a watchman of one of the security guard firms.
Things aren’t easy, through s viral video online, the young musician said that he would like to go back to doing music, but currently he has no means. He will be very grateful is people of good heart decide to support him .
