The Dad who relocated to United States of America, said that it was indeed a very painful moment, and it is something that he will never wish any parent to go through, because Monicah was their first born.
He said that the judgement didn’t shock him, because he was expecting it to happen the way the judge said. He said that even before the sentence he had already knew who had killed her daughter. The day said that he was therefore sure that the accused person will be jailed. His son was among the key witness and he clearly knew the person who did that.

However to let the pain off and release himself, he has forgiven Jowie Irungu, and he will even visit him , when he comes back to kenya. He is also ready to bring the three families together, that is Maribe family, Jowie Irungu family and his family, so that they forgive each other and continue with life.
He said that Monica will never come back, justice was served and no one knows tomorrow, maybe Jowie might be released from the prison because there is no death sentence in Kenya and they will have to live again, so forgiveness is the way and he is ready to do that.
