Video Showing How Expensive Nairobi Expressway Was Flooding After Short Rains In The City

On October 3rd Nairobi county experienced some short rainfall sessions, the rain wasn’t much heavy, but it really exposed the bad drainage systems of the city.

Just an hour after the rains, most parts of Nairobi city were flooding, including the Nairobi CBD. What shocked most people was the flooding of the most expensive road in Kenya. That is the Nairobi Expressway.

Motorist who had paid to use the road, some were just forced to use the common Mombasa road. The expressway was flooding and cars which have low wheels couldn’t cruise the water. It was looking like a big lake on the road.

The governor is yet to address the issue, and since he assumed in office, there is nothing he has done concerning the drainage systems in Nairobi CBD.
