“They Wanted To Burn My House Because Of Kiptum’s Death” Kipchoge Emotionally Narrates.

The best marathoner and world record holder, Eliud Kipchoge has recounted how the death of his friend and teammate, Kelvin Kiptum had a very negative impact on his life. Kipchoge said that he was very shocked to hear that Kiptum was no more, and he was training, he paused for 15 minutes then left the training camp.

It was a very big blow and he really felt his death, however a section of his critics started to spread fake news claiming that he was the one who killed Kiptum. They even started to plan on how they will burn down his house and injure his wife and children. It is a moment he will never forget, because of fake claims everyone turned against him and they wanted to finish.

Kipchoge said that despite mourning Kiptum he was fearing for his life and it is among the reasons why he didn’t attend the burial, because there were plans to harm him.
