Tanzania Opposition Claims Nearly 700 People Have Been Killed In The Ongoing Post-election Protests.

John Kitoka who is the spokesperson of the opposition party, CHADEMA has claimed that the ongoing protests have claimed lives of hundreds of netizens, according to the opposition nearly 700 people have been killed.

The protests that begun on 29th October have been going on both day and night despite the government imposing curfew. In addition the government is using excessive force to contain thousands of protesters, and this has led to critical injuries and deaths.

In addition to this, there has been alot of looting and distraction of properties. Businesses have closed down, and also most offices in Tanzania aren’t operating. The young people who are in the streets have vowed to fight for freedom and the only goal they have is to overthrow the government of Samia Suluhu and they feel like they deserve better leadership.
