Standard Media Exposes WhatsApp Chats Of How Ruto Has Been Using MPs To Pass Controversial Bills.

Standard media via their famous newspaper, Standard Newspaper, have decided to take a deep dive on how president William Ruto has been using parliament to pass controversial bills. This includes the controversial 2024 finance bill, impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua and even the controversial housing levy bill. Standard has even leaked the WhatsApp chats.

Their investigative journalists were able to retrieve some WhatsApp chats, that were clearly showing how the president was urging the members of parliament to pass those three controversial bills. A clear sign that the parliament has been serving the interest of the president.

Parliament is supposed to serve the interests of people who elected them, but in Kenya, they serve the interests of the president. A good number of parliamentarians are just there to be used by the head of state to pass any bill that he wants it to be passed by force. That is what is happening in the national assembly.
