The Harambee Stars made Kenyans proud by defeating DR Congo 1–0 in a thrilling and highly entertaining match. Kenyans put their political differences aside and united to support the national team. The stadium was packed with thousands of fans, a.nd the crowd was visibly delighted with the team’s performance.

Austin Odhiambo, a midfielder for Gor Mahia, scored a spectacular winning goal for the Harambee Stars. Speaking to online media after the match, Austin couldn’t hide his excitement. He knew that his goal had not only secured the win but also turned the entire squad into millionaires, President Ruto had promised Ksh. 1 million to each player for every match they won.

The President personally visited the team’s changing room after the game and assured the players that they would receive the money in cash. During an interview, Austin jokingly said, “Sahii mimi ni millionaire” (Right now, I’m a millionaire), a humorous statement that reflected his joy. The entire team applauded and celebrated with him for scoring the decisive and memorable goal.
