Oburu Explains The Mystery Behind Raila Odinga’s Different Coffins In India And Kasarani.

Acting party leader of ODM Oburu Odinga has confirmed that it is true that the coffin that the body of Raila Odinga arrived in at JKIA was totally different from the one that was presented at Kasarani. He also explained why there were teargas being thrown at the crowd at Kasarani stadium.

Oburu said that in India they normally cremate bodies, hence they don’t burry in coffins, therefore the coffin that Raila’s body arrived in at JKIA wasn’t a proper one, hence there was need for the family and medical practitioners to dress the body well in a good coffin before being presented for viewing.

They needed time at the airport or at Lee funeral home, but that wasn’t possible because of the crowd. They tried to explain to the crowd, but people were clear that they won’t leave Raila’s body to anyone.

Therefore they decided to go with the body to Kasarani, the Lee funeral team went there, and immediately the body arrived, they were standby and started the dressing process. Which took quite some time.

Oburu said that the moment the teargas were being thrown at mourners, it was to give the Lee funeral team an ample time to dress well the body of Raila and put him in a good coffin. The crowd was trying to interfere with the process. So the coffin was changed at Kasarani stadium. Raila was dressed well, put in a good coffin and mourners given time to see him.
