” Nilikuwa Napeleka Scrape” Kenyan Man Caught While Trying To Escape With Dedan Kimathi Statue

A Kenyan man has caused stir online, this is after he was caught red handed, trying to escape with Dedan Kimathi statue from Uhuru Park. He admitted that he was going to sell it for Ksh.250 only.

The young man was forced to explain why he vandalized the statue and why he was stealing it. After being beaten for few seconds, the man admitted that he is used to stealing metals, and selling them to scrape dealers. He said that he wanted to go and sell the statue to a scrape dealer.

The statue is worth over Ksh.100,000 and the man wanted to go and sell it for Ksh.250 only. He apologised to Kenyans and said that he will never steal anything again. He was handed over to the police officers, and he might face charges in court, for vandalizing public properties and trying to go and sell them.
