Former Sailors Gang member, Shalkido has finally decided to open up why he went silent. Sailors Gang was one of the most celebrated gengetone groups in Kenya, before the sudden fall of the genre.
It was a group of four artists, but they decided to part ways after gengetone went on its knees. Since separating, only Peter Miracle Baby has been going viral, all others went Silent.
Shalkido who was among the top in the group decided to venture into Mugithi, but after a while things went left. This is after his YouTube account was hacked. He was left with nothing, life started to get difficult.
He was forced to quit music, and started hawking mitumba bags. Speaking in a viral video, Shalkido urged Kenyans to support him financially. He is really going through alot, and he has a young kid depending on him.
The musician said he will be grateful for any support he will receive from Kenyans. He wants to get back on his feet, and go back to singing, because that is what he loves doing.
