Elgeiyo Marakwet senator, Kipchumba Murkomen is not just an ordinary politician. He is learned and he is a qualified lawyer. He is a constitutional law expert and several politicians and prominent people have been his students.

Murkomen is a graduate from the University of Nairobi with a degree in Law. He also holds a Masters in law from the American Washington College of law in united states of America. He is currently 43 years and a qualified supreme court lawyer.

After getting his degrees from abroad and before deciding to join politics, Murkomen used to teach constitutional law. One of the prominent politicians who have been through his hands is ,Suna East Member of parliament Junet Mohamed.

This happened when Junet was still a very young man and a mayor. Murkomen was posted in Migori, courtesy of Raila Odinga, and he was given the role of teaching constitutional law. He taught Junet Mohamed law. In an interview with Jeff Koinange, Murkomen said that Junet was very bright, and he passed very well.
