” I Will Give You Ksh.600 Million If You Win CHAN Tournament” Ruto Promises Harambee Stars.
President William Ruto has decided to motivate the Kenya national football team, Harambee Stars, as they prepare to participate in the CHAN Tournament. The team, led by captain Aboud Omar, has now been promised Ksh. 600 million if they manage to reach the finals and win the trophy.
Ruto also stated that the team will be rewarded with Ksh. 60 million if they reach the quarterfinals, and Ksh. 70 million if they advance to the semifinals.
In addition to this, the President has also promised each player Ksh. 1 million for every win and Ksh. 500,000 for every draw. He urged the team to make Kenyans proud and expressed optimism that they will emerge victorious in the tournament.
Harambee Stars will face the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on 2nd August before playing against Morocco. These are considered to be their first major challenges in the tournament, and they must win at least one of the two matches to stay in contention.
