Mama watoto supermarket in Kakamega county is one of the giant supermarkets in Western Kenya, it is among the key supermarkets that started dominating in the region during Kibaki’s time. However now the supermarket is on the verge of collapsing.

A video that has gone viral online, has shown empty shelves, a clear sign that the supermarket will close down soon. This is the situation in all their branches in Kakamega county.

The Mumias road branch has only two cashiers and the shelves are almost empty. Netizens also revealed that the situation is the same with the branch that is located at Mumias town. It is like this is the end of the famous Mama watoto supermarket.
