    Danstun Omari: How The Government Used Ksh.10 Million to Arrest Eric Omondi and Released Him on a bail of Ksh.5000.

    Eric Omondi’s Lawyer Danstun Omari, who is also a senior counsel, has given out a breakdown on how the state is just misusing money on arresting people who have no offences. Omari used the case of Eric Omondi and claimed that the government had used about ksh.10 Million to arraign Eric.

    Speaking in an interview with online media, after the release of Eric Omondi . Danstun Omari said that there was no any serious offence that was committed by Eric, he was within the law, and what the police officers did was wrong.

    Omari said that the total amount that the government must have used to arraign the comedian is upto ksh.10 Million. This entails, the police officers used to arrest him, the subaru cars around 5 used to transport him, under armed security officers, getting the judiciary, charge sheets, food , clerks and all other paperwork involved.

    After spending a tune of upto ksh.10 Milion, the court went on and released him on a cash bail of ksh.5000, in this scenario alot of resources have been misused to arraign a person who has no any offence.

    Danstun went on and encouraged Eric Omondi to continue protesting and picketing because they are in the Kenyan constitution, and even all his cases won’t go far, because the police are just trying to discourage him from doing what is right.
