Most estates in Nairobi have Burundians who work as barbers, hawk mandazi and coffee or even hawk sugarcane. They are very hardworking.
In a video that has gone viral online, a young man who is from Burundi, was caught on camera by a stranger who questioned him.
The young man said that he was forced to come to Kenya to look for greener pastures. He said in Burundi life is hard and the economy isn’t doing well like Kenya.
He hawks Kahawa and Mandazi daily and he makes Ksh.7000 everyday. Meaning every month he makes ksh.210,000. Remember he doesn’t pay any tax, that is a huge amount of money.
