“Aliuliwa Juu Ya Simu Ya Mkopa” Why Mjengo Man Was Stabbed To Death While Taking His Son To School

A very tragic incident happened in Mathare estate, Nairobi earlier this year. It was an incident that saw, young single father, Michael lose his life in the hands of a dangerous criminal gang in Mathare estate.

Michael was stabbed to death in the wee hours while he was taking his younger son to school. The reliable sources who are also neighbours and friends, revealed that Michael had acquired a new phone on loan. The famous “Lipa mdogo mdogo phone’. Some of the gang members saw him with the phone and warned him.

Hence that day when he was taking his son to school, the gang members used that opportunity to snatch the phone from him. He tried to resist, they stabbed him with a knife to death.

They also traumatized his son by pinching his private parts. Despite being adopted by Mike Sonko, the young boy is still traumatised. He witnessed his father being stabbed to death, he will never forget that day in his entire life.

The police officers are still tracing the members of the gang, however there are some who have been arrested and justice will be served soon.
