Alikiba Apologizes To Tanzanians For Remaining Silent During Maandamano

Famous bongo artist, Alikiba has finally decided to apologize to Tanzanians for remaining silent during the deadly protests. This comes after the musician lost 5000 followers on his Instagram page in less than 24 hours. Because of his silence most Tanzanians assumed that he was supporting Samia Suluhu and CCM.

However Alikiba didn’t choose sides, he was never spotted in any political event campaigning for Samia Suluhu. Unlike all other big artists in Tanzania, that is the likes of Zuchu, Diamond, Rayvanny, Harmonize and Jux, who were posting and campaigning for Suluhu Hassan, Alikiba was just silent.

He was focused on his music. Something that angered Tanzanian’s was his silence. He went on and posted on his Instagram page, urging Tanzanian’s to forgive him for offending them and remaining silent when hundreds of Tanzanian’s were being killed during the protests.
