Conjestina Achieng’s Only son Charlton Opens up on How Depression Made his Mother Run Mad.
Conjestina Achieng is one of the best ever boxers Kenya has ever had. She raised our flag to international levels but it is very sad to see that the government has neglected her and she is just battling with illness back at her village home in Nyanza region.
Conjestina Achieng’s son Charlton has grown up and he is now a boxer but yet to participate in international competitions. Charlton is training very hard with hopes that he will make it and come for the rescue of her ailing mother.
Speaking in an interview with Plugtv, Charlton said that the main source of Conjestina Achieng’s illness is depression. He said that after loosing her match unfairly against the world champion boxer, Conjestina has never been the same. The judges favoured the world champion and this made Congestina to get depressed.
Charlton said his mother started hallucinating and the level of madness went up and that is how she went mad. Charlton said that she has been in and out of hospital, but because of lack of job to do, she gets depressed again and the level of madness goes ahead.
He revealed that the scanning showed that all his nerves are functioning well and non was tempered with, hence Congestina is suffering from extreme mental illness, that just requires some treatment and be given a job to do. Charlton said he is positive that it shall be well in future.
