Machozi Ya Uzazi: How I Finally Conceived After Years of Miscarriages
My name is Mercy, and I come from a small town near Eldoret. For many years my greatest dream was to become a mother. When I got married, my husband and I believed that starting a family would be easy. We imagined children running around our home and filling it with laughter.
But life had a different plan.
My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage after only three months. The pain was unbearable. I cried for weeks, wondering what I had done wrong. Doctors told me it sometimes happens and that I should try again.
When I conceived again, hope returned. But tragedy struck once more. Another miscarriage.
By the third time, my heart was completely broken. I avoided baby showers and family gatherings because the questions were too painful. People whispered behind my back, and some relatives even suggested my body was cursed.
One day a friend encouraged me to visit a doctor who helped people dealing with difficult life situations. I decided to try because I had nothing left to lose.
After following the guidance I received and focusing on my emotional healing and lifestyle, something amazing happened months later.
I became pregnant again.
Every day I prayed and hoped this time would be different. The pregnancy was not easy, but with patience and support from my husband, we kept believing.
Nine months later, I finally held my healthy baby boy in my arms.
The tears that day were no longer tears of pain.
They were tears of joy.
