Uganda Hospitals are Running Out of the Covid 19 Patients.
Ugandan hospital running out of Covid-19 patients.
After being on a lock down for almost 2 years and closing schools for 2 full years the ministry of health in Uganda has said that the number of of covid 19 patients has greatly decreased.
In the latest report of the ministry of health of Uganda, only 2 patients are hospitalised of Covid 19 in the whole country. The patients are recovering from St Mary’s hospital Lacor. All the other patients have been discharged and most of them have recovered.
The Ministry of health has said the main reason why things are getting back to normal is that about 14. 5 Million Ugandans out of the 22 Million have already received the 1st dose of the covid 19 vaccine.
It is like the battle is now over because the transmission rate is very low in the entire nation, and in the last 3 days the country has only reported 4 new cases, as compared to the 1400 cases that were reported in January.
The restrictions put in place to contain the virus might be revised soon and the country will be fully opened because it is now clear that they have already won the battle. Museveni had put in place very strict measures and in East Africa, Uganda is the only country that was put under lock down for a very long, and they closed the schools for 2 years.
