” If Lagat Did Nothing It Would Be Unfair For Him Not To Resume Work” MP Kaluma Defends DIG

” If Lagat Did Nothing It Would Be Unfair For Him Not To Resume Work” MP Kaluma Defends DIG.

MP, Peter Kaluma has come out to defend DIG Lagat, who is set to resume work anytime soon. Lagat was the main complainant in Ojwang’s case and he was the one who ordered for the young man to be arrested and transported to Nairobi. Ojwang later died at the central police station, after being beaten badly while in the cell.

Kaluma said that if Lagat did nothing beyond being the main complainant in Ojwang’s case, then it will be unfair for him not to resume work. He said that the law must be followed, and if he is innocent then he should be allowed to continue with his work.

Speaking in an interview at TV 47, Kaluma who is part of the broad based government, also went on to defend the act of police shooting protesters, he said that there are some situations that police are allowed to shoot at people.
