    A Kenyan Man Reveals He Was Paid Ksh.3000 To Welcome Ruto In Githunguri

    It is now emerging that a good number of Mt Kenya people got some good amount of money to welcome Ruto in the region. Hired crowd is the good term to explain this. A Kenyan man revealed that he was given Ksh.3000 to welcome Ruto.

    He said that the payments were varying depending on behaviours; Clapping alone was Ksh.1000, Crying was Ksh.5000 and Jumping was Ksh.2000.

    The man said that he couldn’t denie the money, so he took it and went on to welcome the president. He also revealed that there were means of transport, and about 10 buses were involved in transporting people from Thika to Githunguri.

    In most parts of Mt Kenya, residents admitted that they received or were promised some amount of money to give president William Ruto a heroic welcome, however there are some parts that people received the money and still heckled him.
