Nimedharauliwa, Why Diamond Platnumz Didn’t Perform At Furaha Festival Despite Being Paid Ksh.10 M
According to the ratecard of Diamond Platnumz, he charges Ksh.10 Million to perform in any show outside Tanzania, it is a non negotiable ratecard and even when he performed in Kenya last time, during the Azimio la umoja campaign, he was paid ksh.10 Million.
The Tanzania superstar was the headline of the Furaha city festival, that was held in Nairobi. Everything was in place and Willis Raburu, the event organiser had already paid him and Zuchu together with all the other artists, hence he was expected to perform.
However at the last minute, a clash emerged between Diamond Platnumz and Willy Paul. They all arrived at the venue at 1:00 am , according to the schedule Willy Paul was supposed to perform before Diamond Platnumz.
But according to the timeline Diamond was expected to perform at 1:00 am . Hence it was just a misunderstanding that led to the clash. Willy Paul stopped Diamond Platnumz from going to the stage, because he was also making his way to the stage.
There were chaos and even Willy Paul was slapped by Diamond Platnumz’s bodyguard. Diamond’s manager Salam SK said that he will not perform, they left the event and he went back to the hotel. He said ” Msani wangu amedharauliwa”.
That is how Diamond Platnumz failed to perform despite being paid Ksh.10 Million.
