In Rongai Area a very frightening incident happened, and from the video that has really gone viral online, police officers who were trying to contain the situation in the area, were forced to jump out of a moving lorry after a teargas cannister detonated inside the lorry.
In the video, the police officers seemed to be running away from angry protesters, while teargassing them as there lorry moves. However one of the officers who was trying to throw a teargas at the protesters, failed to hit the target and the teargas detonated inside the lorry.
The officers were forced to jump out of the lorry while moving. This was very risky, and one of the police was injured badly. He fell on the road. The lorry continued to move, and the members of public who were recording the videos went to help him.
They requested a motorbike and the officer was rushed to the nearest healthcare facility for treatment. This is not the first time such a thing is happening. It happened in Nairobi CBD and one of the officers lost his both hands, after he teargassed himself, or rather a Teargassed detonated at his hands.
