During the countrywide protest that happened on 25th june, which was organised by Genzs but invaded by goons, the police officers managed to arrest some people who were looting people’s properties.
Jonathan Paul Mutua was among the people who arrested and presented in court. Jonathan was accused for stealing 181 kg of meat in Eldoret. This was a stock of one of the business people in the city, who had struggled hard to come up with the business.

He was presented in court and the judge decided to give him a very unexpected judgement. The female judge said that the constitution allows people to demonstrate peaceful and picket anywhere in Kenya, but they are not allowed to loot or vandalise people’s things.
For that reason the female judge said for Paul to be released he has to pay a cash bail of ksh.10 Million or be jailed . This was a harsh judgement that has forced several tiktokers to react.
