MC Jessy: Why I Lost Terribly The South Imenti MP Race Despite Using Ksh.58 Million For Campaigns

In 2022 MC Jessy was the MP aspirant of South Imenti constituency and he was very optimistic that he will win the seat because he was already famous online.

Speaking in an interview with Obinna, Jessy decided to open up on why he lost terrible in the elections. The comedian said that his competitor was a very wealthy man and he is the reason why he lost.

According to jessy his ksh.58 million wasn’t enough to help him secure the seat. His competitor had over ksh.200 million and bought very powerful sound system and he was giving money all over the constituency. He could even come to Jessy’s event and give his supporters money while Jessy was campaigning.

The comedian said that it pains him loosing ksh. 58 million to run campaigns and later failed terribly, but he isn’t giving up, he is getting ready for 2027 and he will set aside about ksh.100 million for campaigns.
