Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino caused stir online, during an interview with a certain media house, after he decided to open up on how he has faced police harassment for a very long time.
Speaking during the interview, Babu said that he is the youngest politician in Kenya who has been abducted by police officers several times. He said that he has been harassed by the police and being even threatened to be killed.
Babu Owino revealed that the last time he was arrested was during Raila Odinga’s protest. He was taken somewhere he doesn’t know, and locked in a dark room for 3 days without food.
During that period, his wife Fridah Ongili was the one who used to search for him , but she waa assaulted by the police. Babu revealed that there is a police officer who beat his wife. He took that personal, and up-to-date he is still looking for that police officer and he must revenge.
Babu Owino vowed live on camera that if he finds that police officer, he took it personal and he must revenge. He can’t allow someone to beat his wife and just go like that.
