Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga together with Homabay Women representative, Bensouda and Malindi Mp, among other members of the coalition were denied entry into Shakahola forest by a senior police officer who is in charge of the operation.

The police officer was very fearless and he told Raila Odinga face on face that he isn’t allowed to access the forest and see the graves. He was told to seek a permission from Inspector General Japheth Koome, before being given a greenlight.

This led to an exchange of bitter words between Homabay Women representative and the senior police officer, Bensouda shouted at the Officer as she tell him to have some respect for Raila Odinga, he is a senior leader in this nation, and the officer is supposed to be humble.

The two quarrelled for some time, but the Senior Officer maintained his position and asked Raila to call Japheth Koome, seek for a permission before being allowed to the forest to see mass graves.
The Officer said that only authorised people are allowed to have access , the area is under tight security and for anyone to enter the 800 acres farm owned by Mackenzie he or she must have permission from Japheth Koome or Kithure Kindiki.
