Grace : How I Make Ksh.60,000 Per Month From My Kibandaski Business.
Grace’s story is an inspiration to everyone who is planning to open a Kibandaski. The SMEs sector is generally underrated, but the truth is that a good number of kenyans are making huge amounts of money from the considered odd jobs as compared to white color jobs.

Speaking in an interview with ETD Channel, Grace who is famous as Mama Sherrl, is an owner of a Kibandaski ( small restaurant). She is a single mother and she has two children in school, and the money she gets from her business is the one she uses to pay their school fees.
Grace said that she started her Kibandaski some years back, and she started with ksh. 3000 only and it is the money she borrowed from women’s chama( group).
She utilised the smaller profits that she used to make at the beginning, and used it to expand her Kibandaski. It started gaining fame due to good food and services. She started getting customers and this allowed her to employ some people to help her. The business has booming every year and she is really making huge amount of money from it.

She said that on a bad day , she makes a profit of ksh. 1200, that is minus all the expenses. On a good day she makes a profit of ksh.2000, minus all the expenses. Therefore in a month she makes upto ksh.60,000.

The rent of her Kibandaski is ksh.6000 per month and her house rent is ksh.4000 per month. Meaning minus all the expenses . Grace remains with ksh.50,000 per month, and this is the money she uses to pay school fees for her children and other upkeeps.
Grace urged young people and jobless people, to stop waiting for white color jobs and start with the little money they have. It only requires determination and a positive mindset, then everything will slowly fall into place.
