    Chapter 1: The Love That Once Was

    In 2009, I met the man I believed was my soulmate. His name was Paul. He was charming, ambitious, and loved me with a fierceness that melted away all my fears. We dated for two years and tied the knot in a beautiful church wedding in 2011 in Nairobi, surrounded by friends, family, and dreams of forever.

    The early years of our marriage were beautiful. We built a home, welcomed a baby girl named Tasha, and planned our future. But like many couples, we hit a rough patch. Paul lost his job in 2016. The stress turned into tension, and the tension turned into endless fights. Then came the suspicion, accusations, and eventually… silence.

    In 2018, after a year of separation and constant arguments, Paul filed for divorce. I fought to keep us together, but his mind was made up.

    Chapter 2: Living in the Shadows of a Broken Heart

    The day the divorce was finalized, I died inside.

    I lost not only my husband but my best friend, my protector, my dream partner. My daughter was only six. Every night she’d ask, “Mama, when is Daddy coming back home?” and I had no answer.
