Ndoto Iliyotimia: How I Finally Secured My Dream Job After Years of Rejection
My name is Brian, and for five years after graduating in Nairobi, rejection became my daily routine. I sent over 200 job applications. I attended interviews where I performed well, only to receive the familiar email: “We regret to inform you.” My confidence slowly crumbled. Friends advanced in their careers while I remained stuck doing temporary jobs to survive.
Each rejection felt personal. I began doubting my abilities. My parents tried to encourage me, but I sensed their disappointment. Some relatives even suggested I had been spiritually blocked from success.
Out of frustration, I visited a doctor known for helping people clear professional stagnation. Instead of promising instant employment, I was advised to combine spiritual cleansing with practical action. There were prayers and traditional rituals symbolizing removal of barriers, but I was also instructed to revise my CV, upgrade my skills, and practice interview confidence.
For the first time, I felt empowered instead of cursed. I enrolled in an online certification course and refined my applications. Two months later, I was invited to interview for a position at a reputable company I had admired for years.
This time, everything felt aligned. When the job offer arrived, I read it three times before believing it was real.
Today, I work in my dream field. I learned that healing is not just mystical — it is transformation of mindset and action working together.
