Another big blow to motorists in Nairobi county, the county government has approved and passed the annual development plan of 2026/2027. This plan has now raised the parking fee, hence the fee has been increased from the normal Ksh.300 to Ksh.520.

This will start operating on July 2026, and it will be a mandatory fee, for the motorists, because the county wants to collect more money for developing the city.

There are also alot of fees and tariffs that have been revised and increased by the county. The governor believes that Nairobi is capable of raising money to develop itself, they don’t need to depend on the national government .
