Obinna: Why I Charge Politicians Ksh.500,000 For Interviews

One of the most famous comedian, entertainer and event organiser who turned into a content creator and podcaster, Oga Obinna has finally decided to make it public that his interviews with politicians aren’t free.

Speaking on mic cheque podcast, Obinna said that he has a rate card and any politician who request to feature on his show, he or she must pay for him to host them.

Obinna said that currently he charges Ksh. 500,000 to host any politician on his show, he said they do pay, and even claimed that he has messages of the transactions paid. He said some like Joho, Sonko and even Gachagua paid the money.

Obinna urged all podcasters to monetize the airtime, they should stop hosting people for free. He said that it is time for them to take their profession serious and make sure they are making money from it.
