Tanzania singer and the CEO of Wasafi record label, Diamond Platinumz has suffered a major blow, after netizens criticized him for supporting Samia Suluhu. Diamond who endorsed Suluhu for president, has so far lost 28,000 followers on his Instagram page in a period of 5 days.

His fans are very angry and they have been campaigning all over urging people to unfollow him because he is supporting the regime that is harassing and even killing innocent Tanzanians who have been in the streets demanding for better governance.

Diamond was even forced to leave Tanzania, because netizens were threatening to harm him and his family. He went to Dubai together with the entire family. Despite being unfollowed, Diamond Platinumz is still supporting Samia Suluhu and he even returned all the posts that he had archived. According to Diamond, Samia Suluhu is the best president Tanzania has ever had.
