” I Used To Earn 100K Per Show” Broke & Famous Gengetone Star Shalkido SaysWhy He Never Saved Money.

Shalkido a famous gengetone star, and a member of the Wamlambez hitmaker crew, Sailors Gang, is currently begging for financial support from Kenyans. The young guy is very broke, living in a single room without a bed, he only has two clothes.

He said at his prime he used to earn about Ksh.100,000 per show, but he never saved the money or invested it because of several reasons.

Speaking in an interview with Commentator, Shalkido said that, when they had trending songs, he used to make a good amount of money. They could earn up to Ksh.100,000 each from a single show, however he didn’t save or invest the money because he was only 17 years.

He didn’t have financial discipline, so receiving huge amounts of money at a younger age, was challenging and he ended up misusing the money. At that age he wasn’t having a mindset of saving or investing the money.

Corona came, gengetone music collapsed, Mwalimu Rachel their manager parted ways with them and that was the beginning of hardships. He tried Mugithi music but things went left. He has tried several hustles, keeping in mind he has a wife and a 5 years old child, so the burden is huge.

Hustling life has not yielded any results, everything has been going left, and now he is at rock bottom. He even tried to commit suicide several times, but attempts failed. Shalkido is now begging for financial support from Kenyans, is only request is to raise money to buy a motorbike, and start being a Bodaboda rider.
