Ugandan oldest member of parliament, General Ali has confirmed that in 2026, he will be on the ballot again. The general who is only 86 years, will be looking to secure his 6th term in the national assembly.
Speaking to NTV , Ali said that he is strong enough to lead people of Adjumani constituency. He said that he has more experience and he is a leader who is very suitable to win that seat. Ali said that he knows Ugandans and God want him to live long.
Ali can’t walk, he is always supported by his body guards, he is also struggling to speak, a clear sign that he is old enough to retire. Ali has been Museveni’s close friend since 1986, and that os the reason why the leading party decided to give a direct ticket of vying for the MP seat using the party.
