Government Set To Relocate The National Archives From Nairobi CBD.
Reliable sources have revealed that the government of Kenya is now planning to relocate the National Archives from Nairobi Central Business District.
The ministry of Gender and Culture have raised concerns about the security of the arts and heritage that are in the building. According to them, the archives of the nation aren’t at a safe place, especially when there is high political tension in Kenya, followed by the protests held by Genzs, who even attempted to torch the building.
Due to security fears, they are now planning to look for a safe and special place outside the CBD, then relocate all the heritage to that place. The plans are underway and very soon, there will be no national archives in Nairobi CBD.
