A video is currently going viral online, and it has sparked controversy. It shows a Nairobi bodaboda rider attempting to charge a foreigner 500 dollars for a short ride from Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD) to Eastleigh.

In the video, the foreigner, who was vlogging at the time, approached a bodaboda rider in the CBD and asked how much he would charge for a ride to Eastleigh. The young rider, appearing cheerful and confident, quoted a price of 500 dollars equivalent to approximately Ksh 64,600.

The foreigner was visibly shocked by the amount but decided to board the motorbike anyway, continuing to film his experience. After a brief ride, they arrived in Eastleigh within a few minutes.
