” I Want My Case Dropped,Nothing Links Me To Ojwang’s Death, I Never Stepped Aside” DIG Lagat Says.

Deputy Inspector General of Police, Eliud Lagat want his case for removal from office be dropped. He has denied that he never stepped aside, he only took an 18 days leave, to allow investigation. Lagat said that there is no evidence linking him to Ojwang’s death so he is innocent.

While defending himself in the court of laws, Lagat said that his removal in office is not genuine, investigations have been done, and there is no any disciplinary action that has been taken to him by the national police service. Hence his removal in office is not genuine, and his case should be dropped.

Despite a letter going viral online, being signed by Inspector General of Police, clearly showing that Lagat stepped aside, the DIG has denied and said he only took an 18 days leave, to just allow investigations of Ojwang’s death. Lagat was the main complainant and he is the one who ordered Ojwang to be arrested and be transported to Nairobi, where he was beaten to death.
