Teachers at Sigiria secondary school, were surprised after a 70 years old grandmother arrived at their school, weary with a basket of Kienyeji greens worth Ksh.250 bob, to try and clear the fee balance of Ksh.113000 of her form 3 grandson.

The grandmother said that was what had been left , and since she wants her grandson to get education, she had to take everything left to the school, so that the grandson can get knowledge.

It was a very sad scene, the teachers received the vegetables, and the story is now going viral online. Akothee shared it on her social media pages, urging Kenyans to unite and atleast support the grandmother, help her clear the fee. Akothee has requested for the contacts of the grandmother so that she can be supported.
