Brian Kimutai A 19 years old boy was shot dead by police officers in Kitengela during the Sabasaba protests. His mother was forced to sleep with the dead body of his son, because the police wanted to take the body, remove the bullets and hide the evidence.

Speaking in an interview with KTN news, Kimutai’s mum said that it was a very hectic and painful experience, watching the lifeless body of her son the entire night. During the night, the police officers and strange people were calling her, demanding for the dead body of her son.

They really wanted to take the bullets, so that they can hide the evidence. Her and the family had to be alert the entire night, so that they can protect the dead body of their loved one. Brian was part of the protesters, he was however unarmed and peaceful. He was shot two bullets while hiding beside a pole. He died on the spot.
