Likoni: A Thief Stone By Angry Mob While Trying To Swim Away In The Indian Ocean

Theft cases have on the rise at Likoni area in Mombasa, especially on ferry, where hundreds of people board daily, to cross to the other side. There is a crew of young people who have been pickpocketing people their phones while in the ferry, and because of the huge crowd, it is always difficult to trace the thief.

However this time round things went south for one of the young people who is used to that bad habit of stealing phones. He was caught ready handed stealing a phone. The young man decided to jump into Indian Ocean.

The angry mob decided to start stoning him while he tries to swim away. Several stones were penetrating through and hitting him. He got some deep cuts resulting from the stones they were throwing at him. Luckily he didn’t die, but he was later arrested before the angry crowd have killed him.
