Kenyan gospel singer Guardian Angel has explained why he chose to build a permanent house on his wife Esther Musila’s land

The 33-year-old musician, who has faced heavy criticism on social media for marrying a woman 21 years older than him, said he decided to build there because it is closer to Nairobi.

Guardian explained that traveling to his hometown in Butere, Western Kenya, takes an entire day, making farming difficult, whereas his wife’s home is just 45 minutes away from Nairobi.

Many Kenyans have been astonished by this uncommon move, as it is traditionally expected for a man to build on his own land rather than his wife’s.

Some Kenyans have said this is another record Guardian has broken, following his earlier record of becoming the first man to become a grandfather before becoming a father.
