” Hata Ng’ombe Zimekataa Kukula” Imenti Farmers Now Selling Cabbages For Ksh.2 Bob

Farmers from Imenti, Meru, are now making very huge losses. They invested alot of money in cabbage plantation, and they were optimistic that this time round they will make huge profits, because the cabbages really did well.

However things have gone left, they have completely lacked market to sell their cabbages. Farmers said that there are no people to buy their products, in addition to this there are also poor roads making it difficult for lorries to come and ferry cabbages in their farms.

The cabbages now are left to decay in the farm. They have even tried to give cows, cows have eaten them to an extend that they no longer want to eat them again. Now they only sell at a throw away price. They sell each cabbage at Ksh.2 bob only.

They even struggle to get buyers at that price, hence some have just decided the cabbages to decay at their farms and become manure.
