” Alitumiwa” Wangeci’s Family Seek Government Help After She Was Imprisoned For Drugs In India

Another Kenyan lady identified as Judy Wangeci’s was imprisoned in India after she was arrested with 4.2 kilogrammes of cocaine.

The family of Judy Wangeci is now seeking for government help. They want Kenyan government to intervene and atleast engage the government of India so that it can free her.

She was imprisoned in 2022 March 1st . The 4.2 Kilograms of cocaine were found in her luggage. However the family claims that Judy was a very innocent lady, and she was just used as a drug mule without knowing.

According to Indian laws, anyone arrested smuggling illegal drugs that are over 300 grams, they are jailed without bail option. The jail term usually range from 10 years to a maximum of 40 years, so far Judy has served 3 years in jail. The family is optimistic that the government will intervene.
