Street foods in Nairobi are now becoming dangerous because of how they are prepared and the environment that they are prepared in. It has emerged that alot of street vendors in Nairobi no longer care about the health of their customers, for them it is just about making profits.

In a viral video shared by the county officer incharge of environment, he was able to expose how vendors, especially those who hawk eggs and smokies are storing their equipments in dirty toilets.

This was a very disturbing video, keeping in mind that eggs and smokies are among the favourite street snacks in Kenya. The vendors shamelessly store their equipments in the toilets and later pack eggs inside and smokies, hence sell them to the Nairobians.

This is among the reasons why a good number of people often have stomach difficulties after consuming some of this street foods and some even develop long-term health complications.
