“The Mortuary Is Full, We Have 607 Unknown Bodies” City Mortuary Bans Receiving Dead Bodies From Police

Nairobi City Mortuary has decided to come up witn new rules, and this rules are very harsh, the mortuary following the directives from City Hall, it has banned receiving unknown dead bodies from police officers for unknown period of time.

The mortuary management has so far revealed that they have about 607 dead bodies that are in their morgue that has a capacity of holding only 184 dead bodies. The management said that the mortuary is full.

They have said that one way of offloading the Mortuary is by not admitting dead bodies of unknown individuals that are always taken to them by the police officers. It is like there are alot of deaths that are happening in Kenya , especially in Nairobi, where people go missing and later are found in City Mortuary, maybe this may also help to stop extra judicial killings that are currently happening in Kenya.
